POWER OF STORYTELLING βοΈ
Pretiosum GP Yana recently completed "Winning Your Pitch" workshops with the amazing Natasha Jacobs from Black Meteor. The focus was on shaping Pretiosum's narrative, and the results were nothing short of spectacular.
Gone is the fluff β what we have now is a smooth, effortless story. Don't underestimate the power of a well-crafted story for your startup. Storytelling isn't just about presenting information; it's about taking your audience on a journey and making your message relatable and engaging. This is a crucial skill for early-stage founders.
Remember, when we tell our story, people interpret it in their own way. Our job is to make our messages clear and relatable so they resonate with our audience. Often, we assume people understand what we mean, but that's rarely the case. Effective storytelling means not just engagingly talking about your business but ensuring people truly "get it."
Black Meteor has experience working between the entertainment and tech industries, and the grey area between their work has often necessitated training business leaders, politicians, musicians, and celebrities to give public presentations and speeches. Off the back of this, they developed Winning Your Pitch (Business Narrative Workshops).
Black Meteor will teach you the fundamentals of scripting, adapting the narrative, and some basic performance tools which, when used in combination, have instilled founders with even more confidence to go out and fundraise!
We can't recommend these workshops enough and encourage you to read more here.

Fintech and B2B SaaS were the two most popular sectors for angel investment in 2022. But that has likely changed in the last two years. Judging from the conferenceβs insights, the hottest topics are, understandably, AI and defence tech.Β
